Nestled in the small village of Binegar sits the Horse & Jockey pub dating back to the 18th Century. Whether you just want to drop in for a quick drink and catch up with friends or planning to relax and enjoy a lovely meal, the welcome will always be a warm one with a very friendly atmosphere.

Our pub is dog friendly however we only allow dogs in the bar area not the restaurant. In the winter, you can enjoy the roaring wood burning stove whilst the summer months can be enjoyed outside surrounded by fields and why not take advantage of our planned barbeque days with our new barbeque area. The bottom (Cider) bar is a truly unique experience with a mix of traditional ‘scrumpy’ type ciders and colourful characters. It’s the ideal place to get a true sense of a traditional Somerset experience. You can choose to eat in our top bar or to make your experience a more inclusive one by eating in our restaurant, the choice is entirely up to you. Our food is home cooked and we have an ever-changing specials board. The Horse & Jockey is a rare little jewel on the beautiful Mendip Hills.
